Qualified IIT JEE Advanced in 2018 with an All India percentile of 99.819

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are autonomous public technical and research universities located across India. The IIT Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced is conducted annually by the IITs. It is considered to be one of the toughest exams in the world and has an extremely low qualifying rate (in 2018, it was 0.92% , i.e. about 11,000 out of the 1.2 million students who took the exam that year). The JEE score is used as a possible basis for admission by Indian applicants to non-Indian universities such as the University of Cambridge and National University of Singapore.

Granted the Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) fellowship in 2017 and 2018

The KVPY is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to identify exceptionally motivated students with talent for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds research and development in the country. The KVPY fellows are selected annually based on the performance in an aptitude test and interview on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Qualified National round for the International Chemistry Olympiad in 2018

Top 30 students (~0.1% of total) who appear in the annual Indian National Chemistry Olympiad (conducted by the Indian Association of Chemistry Teachers) qualify for the International Chemistry Olympiad (hosted in Bratislava, Prague in 2018). I was one among those selected students who underwent rigorous training, in theory and experiment, at the Homi Bhaba Centre for Science and Education, Mumbai, India.

Granted the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholarship in 2016

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a scholarship exam conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for identifying and granting scholarships to talented students who want to pursue higher education in Science streams.


Granted the Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search Scholarship 2016

The JBNSTS scholarship is awarded to students who rank within top 200 in the qualifying bi-phasic examination that involves written and oral components.

Finished second runners-up in Technothlon Mains 2016

Technothlon is an international school championship, organized annually by the student fraternity of IIT Guwahati, with a participation of students from over 400 cities of India and 30+ countries internationally. The competition involves math, puzzles, code crunchers and challenging event-based tasks to test the analytical, critical and creative thinking among students.

Gold Medalist in South East Asian Mathematics Olympiad (India) 2017

I was the national topper in this examination.
